Stonehenge - Placing the Stones

These two stones are sarson and bluestone - the two types used to build Stonehenge. At the Stonehenge visitor centre there are some really good displays explaining how the blocks might have been carved and placed in position. Why, is still a mystery, although there are lots of theories. Below is an example of how they might have rolled the large stones into place and an aerial view of the Stonehenge.
